TIL I was wrong about using a trowel for delicate features at a dig in Sedona
I kept scraping at what I thought was just a rock layer for 2 hours, but switching to a brush revealed a carved stone bead. Anyone else have a tool switch-up that saved a find?

A dental pick works better for that than a trowel.

My whole kitchen is just tools used for other jobs now.

A dental pick in the kitchen is where I draw the line! Those things are for teeth, not food prep. I can't imagine using one to clean a garlic press or something. That just feels wrong and maybe not even clean. My kitchen tools are already doing double duty as paint stirrers and plant pot shims, but that's a whole other level.

I get what you're saying, but honestly I think a dental pick that's been washed is just as clean as any other kitchen tool. It's not like you're using it straight out of someone's mouth.
