Blown $60 on a cheap clipper blade sharpening kit

I tried to save a few bucks by buying a generic sharpening kit off Amazon for like $60 last month. The stones were uneven and I ended up ruining two of my favorite Wahl blades trying to get them sharp again. Had to replace them anyway plus the kit sits in my drawer now. Anyone else have bad luck with those budget sharpening setups?

My buddy did the same thing and his clippers sounded like a dying lawnmower after.

Oh, sixty dollars? That's not even a budget sharpening kit, that's just throwing money away for a headache. I can't believe those stones were uneven right out of the box, that's just unacceptable quality for any price. You trusted it to work on your Wahl blades and it let you down hard. I've seen those kits on Amazon and always wondered why anyone would risk their good clippers on them. Sorry you had to learn that lesson the hard way, but you're definitely not alone in that experience.
