Chose the cheap clippers over the fancy ones, not mad about it

I had to decide between a $400 cordless set or these $80 Wahl seniors I found on clearance. Grabbed the cheap ones cause I'm still building my client base and cash is tight. Three months in and they've held up through 30+ cuts with no issues. Has anyone else gone budget and been surprised it worked out?

Cash is tight" yep I feel that. I used to think you had to drop major money on clippers to get good results, thought cheap ones would just chew up the hair or die in a month. But seeing you say yours held up through 30 cuts made me rethink that. I grabbed some random $50 set off Amazon last year out of desperation and they're still going strong, cut so much better than I expected. Guess it's not always about the price tag, sometimes you just get lucky with a solid budget tool.

This is a thing I've noticed across so many hobbies honestly. The "you have to buy the expensive version to be legit" trap is real and it's everywhere. Like people think the tool is gonna make them better, but really it's just practice and knowing your stuff. Glad the Wahl set is treating you right, sometimes the whole "you get what you pay for" thing is way overblown past a certain point. Just shows you can spend smart instead of spending big.
