Hit 500 straight razor shaves this week, never kept count before

I started tracking my shaves back in March just to see how many I actually do. This week I passed 500 and it caught me off guard. Most of those were neck and cheek cleanups after a haircut, but maybe 60 were full face shaves. It made me realize I have a rhythm down now that I did not have a year ago. Anyone else keep a count of their shaves or services, or am I just a numbers nerd?

The 60 full face shaves out of 500 is the interesting part to me, because that means you built that muscle memory mostly on quick tidy-ups, not the full ritual. I bet your prep time for a full shave is way faster now than someone who only does weekend shaves. Numbers nerds usually miss that the real win is how automatic the boring stuff gets.

Man, that's spot on. The daily touch-ups are where the real reps happen. My full shave prep is down to like two minutes now, muscle memory just takes over. Weekend warriors are still fumbling with the lather while I'm already done.
