Noticing more clients want to talk about their day during cuts
It started with a regular who shares stories every visit. This makes the job feel more personal and less routine. How do you balance conversation with focus?

Do you ever feel pulled in two directions?

My grandma always said talking helps your hands focus, which makes sense with what @thea452 said about chatty clients. I definitely zone out on the quiet ones sometimes when someone else is telling a full story.

Wondering if you have a specific trick for listening while still making sure the cut turns out right. Does splitting your focus like that ever make you mess up a detail, or does it actually make the time go faster and better? I feel like some clients come in just for the chat part now, which totally changes the vibe of the appointment. Have you noticed if your quieter clients get less of your attention because the talkers are more, I guess, demanding?
