Unpopular opinion: my paper appointment book is better than any app I've tried
After months of fighting with a booking system that double booked slots and sent wrong times to people, I went back to a basic paper book. The change has been so smooth. My stress level is way down because I can see the whole week at a glance. It's a tiny win, but it fixed a huge daily headache.

Oh my god, it's like we all forgot that simple things can actually work. I love that tessaw96's friend uses colored flags in her book, it's such a smart fix that no app would ever think of. We spend so much time and money on fancy tech that just makes new problems. When does the paper book company start selling their "disruptive, analog scheduling solution" for like two hundred bucks?

Yeah, the part about seeing the whole week at a glance is so real. My friend Jen, who does hair, had the same fight with an app that kept messing up. She switched to a big paper book last year. She uses those colored sticky flags for different types of cuts, and she just flips it open on her station. She told me she hasn't double booked once since going back to paper, and her tips even got better because she's not stressed checking her phone all the time.

The tip improvement your friend saw, @tessaw96, really proves the point. Sometimes low tech is just less hassle.

Disagree with the idea that paper is always simpler. My calendar app syncs across my phone and laptop, so I never lose it or forget it at home. The right tech just works quietly in the background.
