Finally realized clients hate fluff in proposals
I used to write these super detailed proposals with tons of nice words about my process. Then a client told me straight up that they skip all that and just look at the price and timeline. It hit me that I was wasting everyone's time. Now I keep proposals to one page with bullet points showing exactly what they get and for how much. Has anyone else tried cutting way back on the text and seen better response rates?

Clients are busy people, they just want the bottom line fast. Bullet points and a clear price is all they really need to see.

I used to be the opposite, I thought clients wanted to know every little detail to feel confident in hiring me. But then I had someone say they almost didn't even read my proposal because it was too long and they assumed I was just padding the price. So I stripped it down to just the scope, the price, and the timeline in a simple list. My close rate went up a lot once I stopped writing like I was explaining a novel and started writing like I was giving directions.
