I quoted $45/hr for 3 years and a guy at a Columbus meetup made me redo my whole sheet
Sat down with a printer last month in Columbus and he asked what my rate covered, and I honestly couldn't list it past the number. He pulled out his own sheet and showed me how he breaks out design time, file prep, and 2 rounds of edits as separate line items so nobody argues later. Turns out I was rolling all that into one flat hourly number and eating about 6 hours of free revisions on a typical $1,800 job. I redid my sheet that weekend and the next quote I sent came back signed same day with no pushback on the edits clause. Curious if anyone else bundles everything into one rate and how you moved away from it without scaring people off?
