Quoted $600 for a two visit cleaning job and the office manager said yes without blinking
I do freelance bookkeeping on the side and I kept lowballing everyone at $250 because I assumed small clinics in Fort Wayne wouldn't pay more. Last week I finally threw out $600 for a two visit catch-up job and the office manager said yes before I finished the sentence. It made me realize my old rate was basically charity and I was the one holding myself back, not the market. How did you pick your first real rate bump, and did anyone actually push back or did you just leave money on the table like me?
