Update: My handyman quoted $280 for a bathroom fan swap, so I asked for the materials list and the story changed
Turns out he was padding the bid by about $90 on a $50 fan and after I asked him to itemize the parts last month he came down to $190, so I am curious how many of you ask for a breakdown before agreeing to a number.
