Blew out a spoke on my cargo bike hauling 60lbs of groceries last Tuesday
It snapped right at the elbow going up a hill near downtown, and I had to walk the last 3 blocks home. Anyone else find the rear wheel on cargo builds just eats spokes faster than a regular commuter setup?

What kind of wheels are you running on that cargo build?

You're seriously running 26-inch wheels on a cargo build?

Saw a build once that used Surly Big Dummy wheels on a cargo bike... looked pretty solid for hauling stuff around. @logan271 was talking about how the right spokes make a huge difference on those heavy loads. Freewheel setups seem to be the common pick for cargo use, keeps things simple.
