Called it overpriced junk until I borrowed a friends Park Tool truing stand

After 2 hours fumbling with zip ties on my fork trying to true a wheel from a Craigslist bike I finally understood why that $150 stand actually saves time has anyone else wasted money on those DIY truing setups

Hell yeah, I've been there. Spent a whole Saturday cussing at a coat hanger and a zip tie setup only to realize my wheel was still wobbling worse than a drunk at last call. That Park Tool stand feels like cheating compared to the hours I wasted on redneck engineering.

Respectfully, a zip tie and a sharp eye work just fine for me.

Respectfully, a zip tie and a sharp eye never got me through a Di2 install without bricking something. I'd rather spend the money on a stand than another Saturday trying to tune a derailleur with a butter knife and a prayer. How many times have you had to redo it because you couldn't get the angles right?
