Rant: I blew $180 on a Park Tool PW-4 stand that clamps worse than my old $40 one
Picked up the Park Tool PW-4 repair stand for $180 at my local shop in Denver three months ago, and I still fight the clamp on every bottom bracket job. The thing slips on round seatposts unless I crank it way past tight, and the base wobbles when I really lean on a stubborn crank bolt. My old no-name $40 stand held solid for six years, so I am not sure if I got a bad unit or if these things are just overpriced. Anyone else had clamp slip issues with the PW-4, or did I just get unlucky?
