Showerthought: watched a kid's rear derailleur go from skipping to silent in one ride at the shop
We had a 12 year old roll into the shop off Grand Ave in Duluth with a chain that was skipping on every other cog. I checked the hanger with my eye, it was bent about 5 degrees, so I straightened it and set the b tension screw. Twenty minutes later the bike was so quiet you could hear the freehub click, and he just stood there staring at it like I did a magic trick. What's the worst bent hanger you've seen walk in that nobody noticed until they shifted?

Had one so bad the derailleur was practically pointing at the spokes.
