Spent 45 minutes hunting a squeak that was a loose bottle cage bolt

I was working on a customer's road bike last Tuesday, this really nice carbon frame that looked pristine. There was this annoying creak coming from the bottom bracket area every time they pedaled hard. I pulled the cranks, regreased the threads, torqued everything to spec, still squeaked. After swapping pedals and checking the chainring bolts, I finally noticed the bottle cage bolt on the down tube was just a quarter turn loose. Felt like a total idiot, but hey, it happens to all of us right. Has anyone else wasted way too long on a simple fix that you overlooked at first?

Yeah, I read about a pro mechanic who did the same thing on a team car once.

That wheel warranty is void if they find a single drop of grease on the hub.

Drove myself CRAZY last month chasing a rattle that turned out to be a loose penny in the center console. @ben_fisher would probably call it a rookie move but we've all been there.

A full 45 minutes for a loose bottle cage bolt-that's brutal.
