The before and after on hydraulic brake bleeds is wild
Tbh I've been working on bikes for about 6 years now and I noticed a huge difference in how quick I can do a full bleed now compared to when I started. Back then I'd spend 45 minutes fighting air bubbles and making a mess on the floor with a generic bleed kit. Honestly the change came when I switched to a syringe-style bleed kit with the right adapters for Shimano and SRAM. Has anyone else noticed a big jump in speed after upgrading their setup?

You ever have a buddy who just refuses to use the right tools? My friend Mike spent years doing bleeds with a turkey baster and some tubing he found in the garage. He'd always complain about how long it took and how his brakes never felt quite right. I bought him a proper syringe kit for his birthday last year, and now he texts me pictures of clean lever pulls every time he does a bleed. Says it cut his time down to like 15 minutes and he almost never has to redo it.

Turkey baster"? Why did he think that was okay in the first place?

I dunno, I still use the basic cup and tube method (got it down to a science) and my bleeds feel fine. Maybe all these fancy kits just make people feel better about spending money, you know?
