Totally feel you on that. I had some guy at the grocery store loudly judge my romance novel once, like I was supposed to be reading War and Peace just because I'm over fifty.

Ugh, @noraroberts, that's the worst. Nothing like a stranger's unsolicited opinion to ruin a perfectly good grocery run. I hope you gave him a real long, slow blink and went right back to your book.

Bet that guy thinks his taste in books is the official standard everyone should follow. Nothing like getting a literary judgment from someone who's probably picking up a 2005 self help book with a sunset on the cover. Did he at least buy something equally embarrassing to make the exchange fair?
