Just realized I was hijacking our book club picks after Maria in Tucson called me out in front of 9 people
She said I always pick 300+ page literary novels so nobody else gets a word in, and now we pass a hat with 3 slips each and last month's pick was a 180 page mystery that everyone actually finished.

Feels rough getting called out like that but honestly she did you a favor. A book club where nobody finishes the book is just a sitting around club.
