Rant: Our club spent 20 minutes arguing if a character's hair was blonde or light brown

It was a whole debate over a single line in chapter 3, and we had to get three different copies to check the exact wording! Has your group ever gotten stuck on something that silly?

Honestly that's not silly at all! Getting the details right shows you actually care about the story.

Just picture me trying to remember if my main character's eyes are blue or green three chapters later. I once wrote a whole scene where someone was drinking coffee, only to realize I'd said they hated it in chapter one. That's why @bell.jessica has the right idea with a text file. My version is a chaotic sticky note system that mostly just breeds more confusion.

Totally agree! I keep a simple text file for each project just for those tiny details. Saves me from flipping back through pages later. Makes the whole process way smoother.
