Shoutout to the librarian who showed me the hold list trick for our club picks
Our club of nine people kept fighting over two copies of the same book every single meeting, and it dragged on for about six weeks before anyone did anything about it. I finally walked into the branch on Grand Ave and the librarian showed me how to place holds on the whole title list at once so copies get pulled from other branches and shipped over. Now we vote on the next pick three weeks ahead and she has all nine copies waiting on a cart when we walk in. The one catch is you have to renew early or the whole stack goes back on the truck. Has anyone else worked out a system with their library, or do you all just buy the books?

Imagine having your whole book club actually show up prepared instead of someone flipping through the last chapter five minutes before. Sounds like that librarian did more for your club than any of you have in six weeks.
