Swapped to a cheap library card catalog for my book club tracking and it actually organized my thoughts better than any app
After three years of using spreadsheets and Goodreads lists to keep track of what my group read and debated, I grabbed an old wooden card catalog from a thrift store for $15 and suddenly I could physically see our whole reading history and arguments laid out, which changed how I propose new titles for our monthly picks, so has anyone else tried ditching digital tools for analog organizing in their book club?

Grabbed a metal recipe box for mine and it worked way better than any app.

@emma_jones you're out of your mind, digital is way faster for search and scaling up. A metal box is just gonna collect dust when you could pull up any recipe in seconds on your phone.

Hold on, recipe boxes work fine for collecting dust but they don't actually scale. Once you get past 30 or 40 recipes you're flipping through cards forever trying to find the one you need. Digital lets you search by ingredient or type in two seconds flat.
