Found a weird hack that cut my daily journaling time from 20 minutes to 5
I stopped trying to make everything perfect and started just scribbling bullet points for tasks and a single sentence for reflection, no colors or doodles, and it actually made me stick with it longer than any fancy spread ever did - anyone else ditch the art and go full messy?

My first bullet journal was basically a watercolor masterpiece that took me two hours to set up and then I never actually wrote in it because I was too scared to mess it up. I literally own like 47 different colored pens and a set of brush markers that have barely been used. It's almost embarrassing how long it took me to realize that the whole point was to actually track my life, not to make it look like a Pinterest board. Now I just scribble down three things I did that day and maybe a note about what I ate for lunch if it was really good. My handwriting has gotten so bad that sometimes I can't even read my own entries from last week but at least I'm actually doing it.

Just use a cheap Bic pen and spiral notebook. Trust me, it works way better when you stop caring about making it look nice and just start writing garbage in it.

Wait, you mean the 47 pens and untouched brush markers weren't a good investment? Ngl I feel personally attacked right now because I also have a drawer full of fancy supplies I'm too scared to use but will never throw away.
