Just heard a friend say they threw out their whole bullet journal because one month looked messy

I was at a cafe last week and overheard someone telling their friend they ripped out all their pages from March. They said the layouts felt off and they just gave up on the whole book. It made me stop and think about how we can be so hard on ourselves for a few bad weeks. Has anyone else ever felt like starting over after a rough patch, and how did you get past it?

Ever think maybe the messy month is the one you'll want to remember most later? It shows you were actually living through something.

My bank statement from last March is basically a receipt for chaos, three overdraft fees and a charge for a 3am pizza. I mean, I was definitely "living through something," mostly a severe lack of common sense. Future me is gonna need a whole bottle of wine to get through that memory.

Yeah, the part about showing you were living through something hits hard. I mean, looking back, my most chaotic month was just a blur of bad decisions and last-minute panic. I guess future me will get a good laugh at how I somehow survived it. Maybe that's the point, like you're building a story even if it feels like a mess at the time. My life is basically a series of those months strung together.
