My index keys were failing me, switched to rapid logging after 4 months
I started bullet journaling back in March with a fancy key system for tasks, events, and notes. But by July I kept missing my own deadlines because I was spending 10 minutes deciding which symbol to draw. So I stripped it down to just dots and X's, and now my daily logs actually keep up with my brain. Anyone else find that the basic rapid logging method works better than a complicated color-coded system?

Heard a podcast a while back where the host said the same thing. He called it "decision fatigue on paper." Spent six months with a full legend myself, and honestly, the most useful part turned out to be that little arrow for migrating tasks, not the fancy stuff. Once I cut it to a checkmark and a line through it, my weekly review got way faster too. Some people swear by the rainbow coding, but my own experience says simple wins when you're actually trying to use it daily. Your mileage may vary, but a stripped down system beats a pretty one that slows you down every single time.
