PSA: tried the fancy dot grid journal after 4 years of cheap notebooks, and I miss the cheap ones
I spent $32 on one of those dotted journals everyone posts about, mostly because my $8 one from Target had a spiral that kept snagging my bag. The dots were nice and the paper felt thick, but I found myself planning pages around the dots instead of just writing stuff down. Six weeks in, I went back to a plain lined notebook and my to do lists got shorter and I stopped dreading opening it. Turns out I like ruled lines because my handwriting drifts like a boat with no rudder. Anybody else try dot grid and quietly switch back?
