Spent 3 hours on a weekly spread layout that took 5 minutes to copy from Pinterest

I kept redoing my weekly pages because the boxes never lined up right, then finally just traced a layout I saw on a random blog. Took me 3 hours last Sunday to figure out what a 5 minute screenshot could've shown me. Anyone else waste a whole afternoon on spreads that end up looking worse than the inspo?

Isn't it funny how we insist on making things hard just to feel like we earned it? Honestly, I've spent entire evenings obsessing over washi tape angles only to realize the Pinterest version was just a quick straight line and a filter.

Quick straight line and a filter" got me good. Wait, you mean I spent three hours cutting tiny triangle flags with tweezers because I thought the slight wobble made it look handmade? And the whole time I could have just... let it be crooked? That's almost too painful to think about. I once redid a whole shelf liner three times because the pattern didn't line up perfectly, and honestly, nobody has ever looked at it that close except me. So yeah, we're definitely out here earning imaginary badges for stuff that doesn't need earning. Kind of makes me want to just slap some tape on at a 45 degree angle and call it art from now on.
