That one week where my entire bujo layout fell apart by Wednesday and I finally got why simple works better.

I spent Sunday making a super detailed weekly spread with washi tape and color coding, then by Tuesday I had scribbled over half of it because real life wouldn't fit into those neat little boxes, so now I'm back to just a plain list and it's actually keeping up with me.

Oh man, I've been there! For me, the game changer was switching to a modified vertical week where each day is just a tiny column with three slots for must-do items. I leave the rest of the page blank for random stuff that pops up during the week, and I keep a running brain dump list on the side. It might not look as pretty, but I actually use it every single day now.

I love that brain dump idea. Actually, I stole something similar from a guy I used to work with. He would take a blank sheet of printer paper, fold it in half, then draw a vertical line down the side for his "junk drawer" list. @shanes66's three slot method reminds me of that, except he would put just one critical task per day and everything else got taped to his monitor. It looked terrible but the guy never missed a deadline.

Makes me wonder if @shanes66’s monitor is still holding up.
