TIL my cat has a thing for fountain pen ink.

I was setting up my new weekly spread on the kitchen table when my cat, Mango, jumped up and knocked over a full bottle of Noodler's black, which then soaked through 15 pages of my Leuchtturm journal, and now I'm trying to salvage it by pressing the pages flat under a stack of heavy books for a week.

Pressing the pages under heavy books is smart, but that Noodler's black is bulletproof ink, it's made to not come out. You might be setting the stain forever instead of drying it. I'd try blotting with rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab first, it can break up some of that ink before it sets completely.

Had the same thing happen with my journal last month. I used a tiny bit of hairspray on a paper towel and dabbed it, which actually lifted some of the ink out. The alcohol idea is good too, but test it on a corner first because it can make the paper weird. After that, I put a clean sheet over the page and used a warm iron on low to dry the rest. Worked way better than just pressing it.

Hairspray on a paper towel is a wild move I never would've tried.
