Tried a cheap gel pen from the dollar store for my weekly spread and it bled through like crazy, but now I'm using it to make cool shadow effects on purpose.

After that messy test, I learned to always do a swatch test on the back page of my Leuchtturm before committing a new pen to an important layout, so what's your go-to method for checking if a pen will ghost or bleed?
