Two years of 10 minute daily logs vs one year of 3 minute weekly spreads, and I can't tell which one saved my habit
I started daily logging every night in a Leuchtturm back in 2022, ten minutes a page, and kept it up for two years straight. Then last March I switched to a single weekly spread on Sundays, three minutes tops, and my pages went from 90 percent full to maybe 40 percent. The daily version kept me glued to the book but ate my evenings, while the weekly one freed up my time and I still hit most of my tasks. So which one is the real win, more time back or more time in the book? Curious what split you all land on.
Kind of like how I used to meal prep five dinners on Sunday and now I just roast a chicken and figure out sides as I go. Same amount of food eaten, way less time spent, and somehow nobody at my house noticed the change. I think we tend to confuse the effort itself with the result, when a lot of the time the small version does the job and the big version just feels more serious. Your weekly spread is probably doing the real work and the daily logs were partly just a habit of being busy.
