Unpopular opinion: a 'perfect' week in my bullet journal made me actually hate tracking everything
Last Thursday I had what looked like a flawless week in my bujo. Every habit tracker box was filled, every daily log had neat checkmarks, and my weekly spread was color coded to hell. But I realized I spent more time making it look good than actually doing the stuff. The whole week felt hollow, like I was performing productivity instead of living it. The day I actually got stuff done was Tuesday when my kid puked on the floor and I abandoned my journal completely. Anyone else find that a chaotic, messy week tracks better than a pretty one?

Ever try a "brain dump" page instead of a tracker?

Haha @sullivan.quinn, a brain dump page sounds like just admitting your life is a mess in bullet points. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather pretend everything is fine in a nice tracker.

Nah I mean I get the joke but honestly having a brain dump page is kinda freeing. For me at least when I try to keep a pretty tracker I end up stressing about making it look perfect and then I just stop using it altogether. A brain dump is more like okay here's my scattered thoughts on Tuesday and maybe my to do list is mixed in with a random reminder to buy dog food. At least it's real. I'd rather have messy honesty than a color coded lie.
