Honestly, it helps me stay on track without the fuss.

Seems like a practical choice, to be fair. The whole art trend in bullet journals can feel like a chore sometimes. If it works, it works.

I used to spend hours on fancy layouts and gave up after three years. Now I just use a black pen and a ruler, way easier to keep up with.

Totally get what you mean, @sarahs39. I switched to basic checklists on plain paper last year and it changed everything. My old journal had all these empty decorated pages where I just gave up. Now I actually use it every day.
