Charging a $150 deposit before booking cut my no-shows to zero, and the ones who balked turned out to be trouble anyway
Used to hold spots for free and got burned 3 times in one summer here in Tampa, so now the deposit filters out the tire kickers before they ever take up my calendar. Anybody else notice the people who fight hardest over that upfront $150 are the same ones who nitpick the final bill?

Started doing the same thing after too many last minute cancels, and it fixed everything. The people who pay without griping are the same ones who never give me a hard time about the bill.
