Client feedback made me stop using stock photos in my proposals
A client told me my deck looked like a real estate flyer because I used those generic happy people shots. Now I only use screenshots of their actual industry or blank mockups. Anybody else had clients call out design choices that felt small but changed your whole process?

real estate flyer" - what exactly did they say when you showed them the blank mockups?

Just take a step back and re-read what you wrote. The blank mockups thing is a totally separate step from the actual flyer design, they're not the same thing at all. You show the blank layouts to figure out the structure first, then you fill in the actual content later on.
