Client kept adding features after I gave them the final invoice, then balked at the total

I do freelance web design on the side for a real estate agent in Austin. For 3 weeks they kept texting me little tweaks like 'can you add a calendar widget' and 'make the logo bigger' after I sent the $800 final invoice. When I resubmitted with the extra $450 in change requests, they acted shocked and said I was nickel and diming them. I finally told them the price goes up when the scoped work goes up, and they paid but complained for a week. Has anyone else dealt with clients who forget that free revisions ended after the contract was signed?
