Client wanted me to photoshop their dog into the company logo
Had a client last Tuesday who insisted their golden retriever should replace the corporate shield in their logo because "dogs bring trust." I spent an hour explaining why a blurry photo of a labrador isn't a brand asset and they still asked me to "just try it." Has anyone else had a client demand a pet-based rebrand and actually had to do it?

So did you actually do it and show them, or did you just shut it down right there? I'm curious if seeing their blurry dog slapped onto a real logo actually made them realize how bad of an idea it was, or if they doubled down. I've seen clients get real attached to a dumb idea once they picture it in their head.

BLURRY dog" for a LOGO? Oh my GOD I cannot believe that was even a real suggestion.

Flip it around and consider maybe they had a point. A blurry dog photo could actually be a solid starting point for a mascot style logo if you trace it into a clean vector shape, not just slap it on there as is. I've seen people turn really rough ideas into gold when they stop laughing and start working with what they have.
