Got burned by a client who changed scope mid-project in Austin

Last month I had this guy hire me for a simple website build for his BBQ joint. Halfway through he started adding features like a full online ordering system and a loyalty program without wanting to pay more. He threatened to leave bad reviews when I said no. Anyone else deal with scope creep that turned nasty?

Started putting everything in writing upfront with a simple scope document, then charged hourly for any changes after that. Never had a problem since.
