Guy in Charlotte made me rethink how I handle scope creep
Three months ago I had a client in Charlotte who kept adding small requests to a website project. Things like "can you just tweak the font" or "add one more page" - nothing huge alone. By the end I'd done about $400 worth of extra work for free because I never said no to the first few. Now I'm stuck wondering: do you draw a hard line on every little change or just let some slide to keep the peace? Has anyone else found a good middle ground on this?

@joseph_green13 honestly changed my mind. Used to let it slide but nah, not anymore.

OH man, FOUR HUNDRED dollars worth of free work? That is INSANE. I would have been so mad I couldn't see straight. You basically paid that client to be difficult and added stress on top of it. I always tell people you gotta decide on a set number of free changes BEFORE you start, like two max, and then anything after that is $50 a pop or something. Keeps you from bleeding money while still looking like a nice guy.
