Had a client in Austin ask for a full site redesign, then ghost me after I sent the mockups. It's been three weeks.

I started adding a 50% deposit requirement after a client in Denver did the same thing to me two years ago. They asked for a full branding package, loved the initial concepts, and then just disappeared after I sent the final files. Now I collect half up front before I even open Photoshop, and it filters out the people who are just fishing for free ideas.

But is it really that big of a deal? Clients change their minds all the time.
