Honestly, I realized I was the problem when a client in Austin asked for a refund after the 4th revision.
I was doing web design and kept saying yes to every small change, like moving a button 2 pixels, because I wanted to be nice. The client finally sent a long email saying the constant tweaks made the site feel less professional and they lost confidence. So, am I wrong for trying to be too accommodating, or should I have stuck to my original plan from the start?

Could it be that your endless tweaks made them feel like you didn't have a strong vision?

Honestly, I gotta side-eye this a little bit @grant413. Are we really acting like a client asking for a refund because you were too nice is some deep lesson in leadership? Feels more like you just got unlucky with a weirdo client who was looking for a reason to bail. I mean sure, maybe don't act like a doormat, but let's not turn one bad experience into some big self-help moment either.
