Just had a client ask for a 'more purple' logo after I sent them the final files.

They literally sent back a screenshot of their monitor with a purple sticky note stuck to it. Has anyone else gotten feedback that wasn't even digital?

Got a buddy who runs a sign shop and a client literally faxed him a screenshot of their computer screen with a hand-drawn arrow pointing at nothing and the word "fix this" scrawled in the margin. He said he spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what the hell they wanted before just calling them. Faxes in 2023, I swear.

Back in 2012, I got a printed page mailed to me with a coffee ring on it and the word "bolder" written in pen. You have to set a hard rule that all feedback needs to be in an email or your project tool. Send them a color picker link and tell them to click the purple they want. It saves your sanity and makes the change order clear for billing later.

Oh man, that coffee ring is a classic. I once had a client text me a blurry photo of their monitor with the note "make it pop more" written on a sticky note stuck to the screen. Your rule is the only way to go, it turns those vague notes into something you can actually work with and charge for.

Yeah but @kim_davis is right, you gotta get it in writing or they'll just say they never asked for it.
