Just realized the trick to handling a client who keeps changing their mind
I had a client in Austin who would flip the whole design every week, no joke 8 different directions in 2 weeks. I tried setting boundaries, sending recap emails, nothing stuck until I started putting a fake deadline in my proposal, like one day earlier than the real one. When they asked for changes after that fake date, I told them it would push the launch and cost an extra $150 per revision, and suddenly they stopped. Has anyone else tried charging for change requests upfront, or did that make clients worse?

The fake deadline thing is genius though. My buddy tried charging per revision with his web design clients and one guy just ghosted him after the first invoice, so it kinda backfired for him.

Damn, a whole client ghosted over one invoice? Thats wild, sounds like your buddy dodged a bullet honestly.
