Question about firing a client after losing my 4th retainer in 6 months
I used to think losing a client was a huge deal, back when I started freelancing in 2018 every single one felt like a punch in the gut. But after I lost my 4th retainer in 6 months last year, I finally did the math and realized those 4 clients were only $9,200 total, while the stress they caused cost me way more. One guy in Austin would call me at 11pm on a Friday asking for edits to a logo he already approved twice. So I started saying no to the bad ones and within 3 months I had 2 better clients paying almost double. How do you all decide when it's time to just cut someone loose instead of trying to fix it?
