Remember when clients actually respected your time?

I started freelancing back in 2017 and back then, it felt like people understood that design takes time. I had a client last month send me 14 revision requests on a simple logo after I already sent 3 rounds of changes. All because their cousin "kinda liked a different blue." I swear, ever since Canva got popular, everyone thinks they know design and can just nitpick forever. Has anyone else noticed clients getting way more demanding over the last 5 years or is it just me?

I read somewhere clients treat you differently when they think design is "just a tool.

Tell me more - was it a certain type of client that treated it more like a commodity than a craft?
