That client who demanded 17 revisions before even looking at the first draft finally broke me

Last month a freelance gig for a local bakery in Portland turned into 50 emails over three flat-fee changes they swore were minor, and now I charge per revision round no matter what, has anyone else just snapped and rewritten their contract mid-project?

Wait, 17 revisions before they even looked at the first draft? That's insane, like they wanted you to just guess what they wanted blindfolded. I hope you charged them for each of those ghost revisions, that's wild.

Dude, I feel your pain. I switched to charging per revision round after one client drove me nuts with constant tiny tweaks. It's the only way to keep your sanity, just put it in writing before you start anything.

Ghost revisions are a special kind of hell. I had a client once ask for "just a few tiny changes" seven times in one evening. Added a revision clause to my contract the next morning, three rounds max then hourly.
