The guy who wanted a full kitchen reno done in a weekend
Got a call last month from a potential customer in the suburbs, said he needed his whole kitchen redone before his in-laws came to town. I gave him a real quote for about three weeks of work, good materials, the whole deal. He laughed and said he could get it done in two days if he just hired some guys from outside the hardware store. I told him good luck, you're gonna need it. Sure enough, he calls me back four days later in a panic. The 'crew' he hired tore out all the cabinets but then just left, and they cut a water line. His floor was soaked. He begged me to fix it, but I had to charge him my emergency rate, which was almost double my normal fee. Anyone else had to clean up a mess like this after a client went with the cheapest option?

Cut a water line and just left? That's next level bad. I see what @kai_ramirez38 means about people not knowing, but how do you mess up that bad?

Feel bad for the guy honestly... sometimes people just don't know what they're getting into.
