A client told me my reports were too "technical" - here is what I changed after that
I had a client about 6 months ago who ran a small real estate team. They said they felt lost reading my monthly performance reports because I used too many terms like conversion rate and cost per lead. So I switched to a one-page summary with simple green, yellow, and red boxes for each metric. I also added a short video walkthrough each month explaining the numbers. Now they actually read the reports and ask better questions about strategy. Has anyone else had to totally rework how they present data to clients?

Oh man the video walkthrough is GENIUS, I should totally steal that idea.

Just be careful with the music rights if you're using popular songs... I learned that the hard way when one of my videos got flagged after I thought I was in the clear. You're better off using royalty free tracks or even making your own simple beat if you can. Also test the walkthrough on a fresh install first, not your main machine, because I messed up a registry setting once and had to rebuild everything. But yeah, the concept itself is solid, just watch out for the legal side of things.

Yeah totally agree with all that, the music thing is a nightmare. @margaretc42 if you do steal the idea, just use something like Free Music Archive or even a phone recording of a beat you made yourself, way less hassle. And yeah test on a VM or a junk laptop first, learned that one the hard way too.
