Picked a paper planner over a CRM app for my small gig back in 2018 and honestly I still use it
I had this choice when I started managing a few clients in Alpharetta. I could go with a cheap CRM like HubSpot or just grab a notebook and write stuff down. I tried the app route for a month and it felt like I was spending more time clicking buttons than actually talking to people. So I switched to a simple paper planner with a monthly spread and a section for notes. It helped me keep track of follow ups and deadlines without the noise. Now I see folks my age glued to their phones for this stuff and I wonder if they ever feel buried in alerts. Has anyone else gone back to analog methods for client tracking?

A buddy of mine did the same thing and said his follow-up rates actually went up.

@noraroberts your buddy saw real results and that sold me, I was dead wrong about paper planners being outdated.

Oh wow okay I was totally in the same boat @logan271. I used to think paper planners were this old school thing that just cluttered up your bag for no reason. But dang, when I finally tried one last semester for lesson planning I realized keeping it right in front of my face made me way more consistent than any app ever did. It is kind of wild how actually writing stuff down changes how your brain remembers it.
