The invoice format change that saved my sanity after 3 client disputes
For two years I sent itemized invoices with every single task listed. Then last month a client in Denver pushed back on 3 separate line items, questioning the time on each one. I switched to a flat rate per project with a short scope paragraph instead. Since then, zero billing arguments, and my payment time dropped from 45 days to under 2 weeks. Has anyone else made the jump away from itemized billing, or do you need that detail for legal reasons?
