Tried the 15 minute check in with my biggest contract, wow

Honestly I used to let a big job run for weeks without touching base after the kickoff meeting. Last month I started a 15 minute call every Friday with the point of contact on a $40k build out in Austin. First week they casually mentioned a change in their building codes that would have wrecked our timeline by late August. We adjusted early and they actually praised me for catching it before it became a mess. Has anyone else tried short recurring touch points and seen something like that happen?
